Wuthering Waves is an anime action RPG now available on Steam. I had played a bunch of this awhile back with the Epic Games client. It's an excellent arcadey 3D hack-and-slash game in an explorable open world with fun side puzzles and lots of story.
As you progress through Wuthering Waves you will unlock multiple different characters to play as that have different playstyles and weapon types. Once you have enough characters unlocked, you will be able to seamlessly switch between three characters at a time mid-combat. The animations are smooth and it's a lot of fun.
Wuthering Waves is a mobile designed game, though. So, it's very simplistic and has a HUD that covers too much of the screen with zero options to adjust it. Yeah, one of those. But it's totally worth playing. I had recorded some thoughts awhile back about this game. You can check my vlog out down below the trailer if you want. I never ended up writing anything about it. Also, while it is a mobile game, the PC version is noticeably much better when it comes to the visuals. It's gorgeous.
I have tried games like Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy (which I've always meant to go back and play more of), Zenless Zone Zero, and others in that "gacha" style. Wuthering Waves is my absolute favorite so far. I just really enjoyed the world and the smooth gameplay while transitioning from character to character in-between cooldowns. This is another game I have been planning to get back into.
Wuthering Waves is free to play and I really think you should at least give it a try. Being on the simple side can be a turn-off but sometimes it's also what I'm in the mood for. It is developed and published by Kuro Games. Check it out and let me know what you think of it. I'm really excited to see this hit Steam. The game is badass and impressive for being a simple mobile thing. Thanks for reading. Game on.
