Are you ready to compete for some money?! Metal Eden's demo just launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X|S. Reikon Games and Deep Silver have partnered with Speedrun.com to offer a bounty to players that can complete the demo in the fastest time. The prize pool is one-thousand dollars split between three winners. First place will receive five-hundred dollars, Second place will receive three-hundred dollars, and Third place will receive two-hundred dollars. You will have to create an account with Speedrun if you don't have one already in order to enter and submit your entry or entries.
I recently posted about this demo releasing today but I had no idea they were gonna have a cool competition like this as well. Metal Eden is a fast-paced first-person shooter set in a sci-fi future featuring gameplay elements that include dashing, grappling, and wall-running. The visuals are really nice and the gameplay is smooth. The demo is very impressive and it definitely makes me want the full game.
If you would like to enter this competition, do it fast! All entries need to be submitted by April 15th. That means you should have your entry in no later than the 14th if you wanna be sure that you get entered. There are two playable missions in the demo. The first one is basically a tutorial but the competition does include the tutorial mission. Be sure to visit the Challenge Requirements page to see what you need to do in order to enter. It's a little bit more complicated than I would like. I was planning to give this a try until I read the requirements. I still might try if I get in the mood to deal with that Livesplit stuff, specific to PC.
