Tidal Shock: Off The Hook is a competitive third-person shooter with up to twelve players facing off in underwater action. With seven different familiar weapon classes including pistols, shotguns, and sniper rifles, you'll be zooming around on your torpedo in three-hundred-sixty-degree arenas for full freedom in how you'll approach or flank your enemies.
Tidal Shock: Off The Hook is round-based, where each team will try to win at least two out of three different game modes to win a full match. The game modes are Reactor Rush, Control, Point-to-Point, and Deathmatch O₂. This means that you won't be able to select just one game mode to play in. I like this type of thing but I know it's not popular with a lot of players and I also have preferences. Moonray Studios, the developer and publisher, says they would like to make it so players can specifically pick and play only one game mode but that would not really be possible unless the playerbase grew large enough for it.
The game looks really cool so I wanted to share it. Unfortunately, since it's a small developer, the game isn't well known and it's not easy to get into a match. I've seen this to be a very normal thing with indie games and it's always sad. They deserve better. Your best bet would be to join their Discord server and maybe try to get into any pre-planned matches. It would be great of you to also inform your friends about the game in case they might be interested. Just spread the word. They'll likely see that it's "dead" but there's no reason not to try and get the word out about a cool looking game.
Tidal Shock: Off The Hook recently launched out of Early Access as a free to play title. I am really hoping to be able to play a match or two or even more to check it out. The concept is really great and it looks like a lot of fun. I'm a big fan of more open maps in multiplayer shooter games. Something like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Doom, and even Devil's Third. I prefer a more open map design.
It was originally planned to be available for PC, PS4/PS5, XBS|X and Nintendo Switch but plans had to change for now and it's currently only available for PC. Good luck to Moonray Studios. This game looks too good to not get noticed. Thanks for reading. Game on.
