I had to put the pun in the title just for fun. Rabbit's Revenge is an upcoming in-game event happening in New World: Aeternum. A new enemy, the Corrupted Rabbits, will be roaming the lands, eating all carrots in their path and destroying all farmland while doing so. I'm kidding. I don't actually know what exactly they'll be doing but they are clearly evil rabbits! The devs actually put out a cute little story about them in the announcement of the event in the first paragraph.
The Rabbit's Revenge yearly event starts on April 15th and lasts until April 28th. Players will have the opportunity to earn a new themed armor set that includes legs, gloves, and boots. However, the final piece, the helm, is sold separately in the shop. Yikes. That's actually disgusting but this is the "new normal," after all. There is a themed mask that you can earn from the event as well, though.
Each corrupted rabbit will have a small chance at dropping some rare loot as well as a guaranteed drop if you kill enough of them. That's pretty cool. I have not played New World in quite awhile but I have thought about it a lot lately. That, and Lost Ark. I've been meaning to return to these games. So, that's why I'm sharing this news. I always enjoy the artwork that the devs put out with their announcements in this game. It's good stuff. For more details on the loot drops, click the announcement link above.
